Services rendered:
Designed, developed, and delivered a comprehensive training programme on laboratory system assessments using the LMM framework. Trained and certified laboratory system assessors, establishing a qualified regional pool of LMM assessors to support Africa CDC and WHO-AFRO.

[24 Feb 2026] **First Qualified LMM Assessors Officially Certified**

Following the development and piloting of the Laboratory Systems Maturity Monitoring (LMM) Framework, DATOS was contracted to design and deliver the official training on preparing, conducting, and reporting LMM assessments on behalf of Africa CDC and WHO-AFRO.

This training was supported by The Global Fund through its Principal Recipient, the East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC). The objective of this training is to establish a pool of qualified LMM assessors who will support the roll-out of the LMM framework across Member States.

To ensure the integrity, consistency, and quality of the LMM process across all participating countries, only assessors formally trained and certified by Africa CDC and WHO-AFRO are authorized to conduct official LMM assessments.

We are proud to announce that DATOS has now awarded certificates to 23 participants, officially qualifying and certifying them as LMM Assessors on behalf of Africa CDC and WHO-AFRO. Congratulations to all participants on this important achievement!

We look forward to the next phase: the continued roll-out of the LMM framework across the African region and its contribution to strengthening national laboratory and diagnostic systems.
